• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and schedule a team of pipefitters, welders, and shop helpers to hit daily production goals.
• Safety Enforcement: Maintain absolute compliance with OSHA regulations and internal company safety policies. Conduct routine toolbox talks and equipment inspections.
• Quality Assurance: Interpret isometric layouts, spool drawings, and welding specifications to verify dimensional accuracy and weld quality prior to shipment.
• Workflow Optimization: Direct material staging and schedule the use of shop equipment including pipe welding machines, band saws, beveling tools, and overhead cranes.
• Testing & Compliance: Supervise non-destructive testing (NDT) and hydro-testing operations to verify system integrity and zero-leak compliance.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial pipefitting, structural welding, or mechanical pipe fabrication.
• Supervisory Background: At least 2 years of proven experience in a leadership, Supervision, or floor lead capacity within a manufacturing or construction setting.
• Technical Skillset: Strong proficiency reading isometrics, specifications, support details and advanced shop math calculation abilities, and familiarity with codes like ASME B31.3 or AWS.
• Technical Skills: Basic working knowledge of Microsoft excel, word, outlook, (Spoolfab/Acorn Plus)
• Automation/Machine welding experience preferred.
