• Lead process engineering design efforts for FEL and detailed design phases, ensuring alignment with client goals and project requirements
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact associated with process design for clients during project development, offering expertise and building strong client relationships
• Facilitate and participate in client meetings, understanding client needs and translating them into actionable engineering deliverables
• Prepare and review Process Engineering deliverables, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), heat and material balances, P&ID’s and equipment datasheets and all other process design deliverables
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring high-quality work and professional growth
• Manage project timelines and budgets
• Provide timely and accurate internal reporting of project progress, compiling weekly reports for the Process Engineering Manager
• Interface with clients, third-party contractors, and internal engineering departments to ensure cohesive project development
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering required.
• 10 years’ Process Engineering design experience
• Proficiency in developing and reviewing PFDs and P&IDs, with a deep understanding of their role in project development
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and persuasive manner
• Experience with equipment sizing and specification for pumps, heat exchangers, process vessels, and compressors
• Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS and other process simulation tools to develop preliminary design concepts and validate project feasibility
• Experienced in relief valve sizing and Flare system design
• Ability to develop instrument Process specifications for items such as control valves, transmitters and flowmeters
• Proficient in system hydraulics and line sizing for single phase liquids and gases and multiphase lines
• Attend PHA/HAZOP reviews and provide technical input
• Leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior engineers and foster a collaborative working environment
Remote and on-site work. Visits to job sites may be required on occasion, as needed.
