Core Job Responsibilities

Bring Value: Serve as primary liaison between Subcontractors, H+M Construction Management, and H+M Engineering.  Bring technical knowledge and E&I field experience to H+M teams and Projects to enhance overall Client Experience by excellent project execution.  Follow H+M work processes and strive to improve them in your field of expertise. Complete other tasks as assigned to benefit the project.

Subcontract Management: Oversee subcontractor safety, quality, schedule, and budget. Hold Subcontractor’s accountable to adhere to H+M Subcontract requirements.  Evaluate manpower and schedules to achieve project milestones and completion dates.  Provide support to evaluate and resolve field change orders in accordance with contract documents. Coordinate Subcontractor RFIs and design changes with engineering as needed.  Ensure construction completion forms are completed per Subcontract requirements.

Review quotes and condition subcontract proposals for recommendations for award.  Create subcontract scopes of work(SOW) for estimating and support bid preparation, constructability reviews, and FEL project development for current and prospective work.

Quality Oversight: Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).  Conduct shop and field inspections per ITPs to verify work conforms to engineering drawings, deliverables, codes, standards, and best practices. Identify and resolve defects, non-conformities, or deviations from standards and specifications.

Engineering Review: Review engineering drawings and deliverables to ensure complete installation packages. Manage gaps between design, vendor-supplied equipment, and field conditions.

Essential Qualifications

• Technical knowledge and experience in E&I construction, quality, estimating, and procurement.

• Ability to create and review subcontract SOWs for estimating and execution.

• Experience with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), including continuity checks, megger testing, HiPot testing, equipment testing/torquing, and grounding testing.

• Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and best practices for electrical installations.

• Ability to identify and resolve gaps between design and vendor-supplied equipment.

• Experience with field verification of I/O availability in existing panels.

• Strong understanding of project scheduling, manpower evaluation, and progress tracking.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

• Effective communication and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in reviewing and redlining drawings (undergrounds, grounding, conduit/tray routing, wiring diagrams, cable schedules).

• Knowledge of supplier relationships and pricing competitiveness.

• Basic HSE knowledge relating to E&I activities.

Working conditions encountered in this job include those found in a typical office setting as well as an indoor/outdoor manufacturing setting which includes exposure to outside weather conditions, work at elevated heights, climbing of stairs and ladders, and physical manipulation of tools and mechanical equipment. This job demands the use of typical manufacturing personal protective equipment as well as advanced protective equipment as needed.
