Core Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain corporate QA/QC policies and procedures specific to civil and structural disciplines.

• Review and audit departmental procedures to ensure compliance with corporate expectations and industry standards.

• Participate in review meetings to address areas of nonconformance; follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed effectively and on time.

• Oversee QA/QC activities for multiple projects (minimum of three concurrently), ensuring consistent application of quality standards across all sites.

• Ensure subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party vendors meet H+M quality requirements for all civil and structural work.

• Review and interpret civil/structural technical drawings, specifications, and procedures to verify compliance.

• Supervise and develop QA/QC team members with expertise in various construction disciplines.

• Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, nonconformance reports, and corrective action records.

• Support H+M’s safety culture by following the H+M Safety Manual, OSHA regulations, and applicable site safety requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of civil-specific QA/QC experience in industrial construction environments.

• Civil Concrete QC and Structural inspection experience required.

• ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification preferred.

• Working knowledge of multiple disciplines including Structural, Piping, Mechanical preferred.

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to oversee teams and multiple concurrent projects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.

• Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds

• Sit for long periods of time

• Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch

• Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects

Working conditions encountered in this job include those found in a typical office setting as well as an indoor/outdoor manufacturing setting which includes exposure to outside weather conditions, work at elevated heights, climbing of stairs and ladders, and physical manipulation of tools and mechanical equipment. This job demands the use of typical manufacturing personal protective equipment as well as advanced protective equipment as needed.
