Supervise and lead daily project controls activities.
Manage personnel and workload assigned to the Project Controls group.
Responsible for supporting development, maintaining, and controlling project schedules during proposal and project execution for engineering, procurement, subcontracts, fabrication, and construction scopes of work.
Manage multiple project schedules simultaneously.
Responsible for the reviewing of schedule information as it relates to discipline logic ties and interfaces between other disciplines and functions throughout project life cycle.
Strong understanding of engineering and construction execution plans for all phases of work (Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design, Construction Execution, and Commissioning/Start-up)
Knowledge and ability to train others on Material Take-off’s (MTO’s) from IFC drawings.
Manage and support weekly earned value reporting and tracking utilizing H+M’s proprietary tools and systems.
Support continued development, implementation, and maintenance of project KPI tools for reporting on planning, scheduling, and cost controls.
Lead weekly project governance reviews with Project Management.
Coordinate with Project Managers routinely ensuring compliance with company guidelines on cost controls (budget management, change management, cost forecasting, and cost reporting).
Responsible for entry and management of project budgets within financial system
Manage and train engineering and construction project team personnel on project controls work processes, tools, and systems.
Perform routine visits to project sites and shop floor to carry out progress, and schedule audits.
Participate in management TIP observation program.
Guide the development of entry level project controls engineers within H+M’s EPC Training Programs.
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or any related field
7+ years of experience with project controls in heavy industrial EPC projects setting
Exposure to planning, scheduling, and cost controls for both Engineering & Construction activities
Previous project controls management/supervisory experience
Intermediate knowledge and experience with:
MS Office (i.e. – Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Power BI
Experienced with Primavera P6 Scheduling
Strong work ethic and interpersonal, organization and leadership skills
