Provide planning and direction for other designers in project specific tasks.

Oversee development of all Instrumentation & Electrical design deliverables under minimal supervision
Knowledgeable of Instrumentation & Electrical material specifications to the extent that all information required for material purchase, fabrication, and construction is reflected on the finished drawings.
Perform field related work collecting design information and verifying designs for tie-ins and functionality to existing facility.
Provide guidance and direction to junior level personnel
Perform field support activities for engineering support during construction.
Ability for check and back check drawings produced by drafting personnel as well as peer designers
Interact with designers and engineers from other disciplines in a team environment to create multi-discipline design packages for construction
Work with project engineering, client personnel, and Lead Engineer to resolve project challenges.
Prepare packages for submittal to the client in a timely and efficient manner.
Work within company policy as outlined in the H+M Employee Handbook as well as the H+M Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules.
10+ years of I&E design experience utilizing AutoCAD with at least 5+ years as a lead designer.
Experience leading multiple fast-paced small to mid-capital heavy industrial midstream and downstream projects simultaneously.
Experience with design of instrumentation and electrical systems located in electrically hazardous (Classified) locations per NEC.
Knowledge of standard instrumentation and electrical design, drafting, and installation practices.
An understanding of applicable industry standards including the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Society of Automation (ISA), American Petroleum Institute (API) recommended practices, Process Industry Practices (PIP), and National Electrical Manufacturer’s Association (NEMA) guidelines.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical design standards, Piping and Instrument Diagrams, and other technical drawings.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to effectively communicate with team members, clients and other project stake holders.
Ability to perform calculations related to sizing electrical motor control & distribution equipment, wire sizing including voltage drop, cable tray sizing, conduit/raceway sizing, and grounding/bonding sizing per NEC and client/industry standards.
