Normal work period is Monday-Friday dayshift. Must have availability any time and day of the week as needed.
Core Job Responsibilities

May include but not limited to:

  • Interact with civil engineers and designers to quickly and accurately update/correct drawings during design process
  • Read and understand construction drawings
  • Prepare drawings used in the layout, construction, and operation of oil and gas facilities, refineries, chemical plants, and process piping systems
  • Prepare drawings showing the detail and assembly of a wide variety of grading/drainage, paving, underground sewers, foundations and structurers, indicating dimensions, fastening methods, and other requirements
  • Perform drawing maintenance included updates, revisions, and development of as-builts
  • Obtain required measurements by traveling to customer facilities
  • Follow company CAD Standards and client civil specification
  • Fill in technical details using drawings, rough sketches, specifications, and calculations made by engineers, designers and surveyors
  • Work within company policy as outlined in the H+M Employee Handbook as well as the H+M Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules.

Essential Qualifications

  • Post-secondary school training in drafting (2–4-year technical certificate or degree from an accredited institution preferred)
  • Knowledge of drafting standards, mathematics, science, and engineering technology
  • Solid background in CAD techniques (knowledge of CAD 3D Environment preferred)
  • Understanding of geometric construction, working drawings, and engineering terms and standards
  • Proficient in the current release of AutoCAD, CADWorx, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to learn and work on a variety of tasks
  • Able to obtain TWIC Card

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Sit for long periods of time
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
